大陸三大網路服務業者騰訊、阿里巴巴及百度，與英特爾(Intel)於2011年共同成立天蠍計畫，此計畫將提出一個統一標準的資料中心硬體設計規範，企圖實現低成本與高擴張彈性的資料中心。天蠍整機櫃伺服器機架方案採用模組化設計, 分為機櫃模組、網路模組、供電模組、伺服器節點、集中風扇散熱模組、集中管理模組共六大部分組成。天蠍類似 Facebook 的 OCP-Open Compute Project.
